June – November is hurricane season on the Cayman Islands. There is a major risk for a hurricane during these months. The majority of the 56,000 Cayman Islands residents live on the Grand Cayman Island. Here there are many businesses and shops as well. The smaller two islands are home to a few residents, although you’ll find mostly tourist attractions, restaurants, and shops.
When visiting the Cayman Islands, a trip to Seven Mile Beach is imperative. The beach is located on the western shore of the island and is often named one of the best beaches in the world. If you want the best views of the island, you mustn’t miss a visit to the Observation Tower. Located on the Camana Bay, this 75-foot structure provides immaculate views of Seven Mile beach, North Sound, George Town, and more. Spend the afternoon hiking up to the Observation Tower and enjoying these impressive views.
